Our snow white roll neck is constructed from hardy Shetland wool and features Laurel Wreath detailing on the sleeve.
Shetland wool / Dropped shoulder / Slightly roomier in body / Jacquard Laurel Wreath on right bicep / Heavy knitInspired by designs from our archive, our Reissues collection reinterprets original pieces with directional styling. Inspired by Spanish skier Francisco Fernandez Ochoa, who frequently trained on the slopes wearing Fred Perry during the 60s and 70s and won Gold at the Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan in 1972, our snow white Laurel detail roll neck features a large intarsia Black Laurel on the right sleeve and is a replication of the knitwear that was once worn by Ochoa as both ski-wear and après-ski wear. There are significant parallels between Ochoa’s life and Fred Perry's, with both men originating from working class backgrounds and going on to achieve sporting immortality by reaching world number one in their respective fields. Both men leave behind significant sporting and stylistic legacies.
